Our Leadership

Ultimate Beginnings is lead by the President/COO, Shelmin Evans. Shelmin is a graduate of Mount Union College and the University of Akron. Her professional experience consists of over 20 years in the social services field. She has held a variety of positions working with youth and supporting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Direct Support Professionals

DSP’s are the backbone for the work we do. It is our goal to pair DSP’s and clients based on mutually agreed upon characteristics that will allow both parties to flourish. 

​

All team members are trained with the individuals they work with prior to working alone. The length of that training varies depending on the team members experience and the rate in which they catch on. No team member is scheduled to work by themselves until management and the client are comfortable that they are ready to do so. Team members receive specific training tailored to the needs of the person(s) they work with.

Direct Support Professionals receive initial and ongoing training throughout their time with Ultimate Beginnings. This allows the DSP to learn and stay polished on best practices, and provides the tools needed to assist those we support.
